Brock Lesnar has undoubtedly been one of the most dominant wrestlers in the history of WWE. His reign of terror has been a talking point among fans since he made his debut in the company in 2002. Dubbed the Next Big Thing upon his arrival, Lesnar’s combat sports legacy is perhaps unsurmountable, with his work extending to the octagon of UFC and the squared circle of WWE and even New Japan Pro-Wrestling.
Lesnar has not only won the world championship ten times with WWE but has also accomplished the unthinkable feat of ending The Undertaker‘s WrestleMania streak. However, at the age of 45, Lesnar is nearing the end of his illustrious career. In the next few years, he will likely hang up his boots and, seemingly, has only a few more high-profile feuds left in the bank.

With the recently concluded WWE Draft allotting Brock Lesnar the Free Agent status, the former world champion will now move from brand to brand to hunt down his opponents. This has left the door open for WWE to put the newly minted World Heavyweight Title on his shoulders. However, there is one other feud that could await the legendary star.
At Royal Rumble 2023, a brief showdown between Gunther and Lesnar lit a ray of hope among fans that a bout between the two behemoths could be on the cards at WrestleMania 39. While that did not culminate into a big feud, with Brock Lesnar seemingly choosing Omos ahead of the Intercontinental Champion, WWE may have still left the room open for the heavyweight clash.

During the draft, Gunther was drafted to Raw along with his Imperium stable. Lesnar, who is currently a free agent, could move between Raw and SmackDown. This enables him to show up ahead of a mega event such as SummerSlam or even WrestleMania next year to set up a feud against The Ring General.
On the other hand, Gunther could lose his Intercontinental Title to a worthy opponent while Lesnar finishes up his storylines or even vies for the World Heavyweight Title. With Gunther going over Lesnar, it could establish the perfect successor to The Beast Incarnate and a top star in the company who can steer the ship into the foreseeable future.
Free Agents after the WWE Draft 2023 other than Brock Lesnar
Following the culmination of the draft on SmackDown on April 28, it was revealed that several superstars remained undrafted and would therefore remain free agents. After night one, Dolph Ziggler, Mustafa Ali, Von Wagner, Omos, and MVP were announced as free agents. While most of them are active on the main roster of the company, Wagner’s call-up from NXT as a free agent raised a lot of eyebrows among fans and industry veterans.
At the start of night two of the WWE Draft on Raw on May 1, was announced by Triple H that Brock Lesnar had renegotiated his status and would now be a free agent. Alongside The Beast Incarnate, Baron Corbin, Elias, Cedric Alexander, Shelton Benjamin, and Xyon Quinn, who, like Wagner, is also an NXT call-up, are also going to be free agents in addition to the ones from night one.

It remains to be seen how all the free agents, including Brock Lesnar, will be booked following the draft coming into effect on May 8. Meanwhile, Lesnar, on the other hand, seems to be going through his declining phase after losing two premium events back-to-back.
