The Undertaker has always been regarded as an inspiration to many. In fact, the WWE legend has even acted as a guide for many young pro wrestlers. However, now it seems The Deadman had no sympathy for an AEW Star’s clumsy wrestling style.
The AEW star in question is none other than The Big Show. He is currently a part of the Tony Khan-led promotion. However, he previously entertained the fans while being a part of WWE from 1999 to 2021. During that, it was reported that The Undertaker had issues with Big Show’s wrestling basics and training habits. This was because The Giant didn’t put the necessary effort into wrestling during his early days.
With that, Big Show previously opened up on how The Deaman had no sympathy for him. He said “I used to come through the Gorilla position after a match against Undertaker on our live tours, and Undertaker would be there waiting for me. He’d wave me over with that crooked finger, and he’d chew out my a*s for the next 15 minutes.” (Via:- 411MANIA)
Show revealed that it continued for several days. He also stated that he is a bit hard-headed than others so it took him a while to understand. However, according to Paul Wight, a lot of the lessons he learned from Taker have now put him in a position where is able to help many people “not make the same mistakes” that he made.
Thus, it seems though The Phenom was strict with Big Show, it ultimately benefitted him. However, both of them are now considered pro wrestling legends. Meanwhile, it remains to be seen if Show will have anything else to share with the fans about Taker in the upcoming days.
The Undertaker previously commented on his feelings about Big Show
The Big Show earlier opened up on how during live tours The Deadman used to chew him out. Meanwhile, The Undertaker also commented on his feelings towards The Giant. It seems they both have a mutual regard for each other.
The Phenom previously made an appearance on the ‘After the Bell’ podcast. During that, he talked about Big Show. The Phenom said, “I love him to death. I really do, and I consider him one of my close friends now.”
Taker then went on to praise The Giant for his athleticism. He also added that Show’s “heart was in a good place” since the AEW superstar wanted to work and wanted to “show people how athletic he was.” Towards the end, The Deadman said that he tried to help Big Show reach “his full potential not only as a performer but as a human being“. He added that he wanted Show to excel on every level.
Meanwhile, as of now, Big Show has been thoroughly entertaining his fans in AEW. On the other hand, Taker has now taken his retirement from the ring, however, he is seen making sporadic appearances in the Stamford-based promotion. With that, it remains to be seen if the two will ever again make an appearance together in the upcoming days for their beloved fans.
