The Undertaker and Kane are gigantic names in the world of pro wrestling. Both of them were top-level wrestlers and had an incredible fan base. In fact, they were presented as half brothers in WWE. Being half brothers, Kane and The Undertaker were part of a tag team named ‘Brothers of Destruction’. With that, their fans have often wondered if the two Superstars are indeed brothers in real life.
However, the answer to that question would be no. In fact, the two fan-favorite superstars are not even related in real life. They were only half-brothers in WWE storylines, as they were the ‘Brothers of Destruction’. The tag team was highly successful and thoroughly entertained the fans over the years.
Kane is known as Glenn Thomas Jacobs in real life. He was born in Spain to a US Air Force family, and since 2018, he has been the Mayor of Knox County, Tennessee.
On the other hand, The Undertaker is Mark William Calaway in real life. The fan-favorite Superstar was born in Houston, Texas. He is the son of his father, Frank Compton Calaway, and his mother, Betty Catherine Truby. It is to be noted that the WWE legend isn’t the only child of his parents. He has four other siblings, and they are Timothy, Paul, David, and Michael.
Thus, it can be clearly understood that Kane and The Undertaker belong to different family backgrounds. Henceforth, The Big Red Machine and The Phenom are not related off-screen. However, they are very much related to the world of pro wrestling. Both of them are WWE Hall of Famers and are extremely adored by their fans.
Kane once referred to The Undertaker as his “idol”
Kane and The Undertaker have achieved a lot in the field of pro wrestling. They are legends and are seen as an inspiration by many, both within and outside the field of wrestling. However, while fans and fellow wrestlers look up to them, it seems Kane looks up to The Undertaker. ‘The Big Red Machine’ once referred to ‘The Phenom’ as his “idol“.
Previously, Kane appeared for an interview with PW Mania. During that, he talked about The Undertaker. He said, “Undertaker was my favorite superstar before I got into the WWE…He’s always been my favorite. He was a big guy like me, and the character was amazing”.
Kane then went on to call Undertaker an idol. According to ‘The Big Red Machine’, it was a dream come true for him to be able to work closely with Taker. Kane mentioned, “Frankly, he is an idol. To be able to work with him, that closely and develop a close relationship with him, is just something dreams are made out of”.
It is to be noted that while Kane had so much to say about The Undertaker, ‘The Phenom previously talked about ‘The Big Red Machine’. Earlier, when it was announced that Kane would be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, Taker took to his ‘X’ handle to share his thoughts.
The Deadman wrote, “.@KaneWWEhas been a brother to me on and off screen for over 25 years. Hardworking, loyal, and dedicated I was honored to be the one to announce he is the newest member of the #WWEHOF Class of 2021! #BrothersofDestruction“

Thus, it seems as though Taker and Kane aren’t brothers in real life; they are no less than that. They equally respect and love each other. However, it’s been ages since the two haven’t made an appearance together on WWE television. Their fans have been eagerly waiting to see the two powerhouses grace the WWE ring together in the upcoming days.
