One such promo took place in 2003 when the famous father-daughter ‘I Quit’ match was going to take place at ‘No Mercy’. In a SmackDown episode, Vince was seen yelling at Stephanie about how he was going to marry another woman after his divorce was finalized with her mother, Linda McMahon.
He said, “Soon after this divorce is final there’s gonna be a new Mrs McMahon, a voluptuous Mrs McMahon I can guarantee it, a voluptuous Mrs McMahon that can keep up with my s*xual prowess.” He further said that his new partner would be Stephanie’s age. This was an inappropriate promo, and Stephanie was seen crying after it, and this came 21 years before the lawsuit.

The lawsuit also names John Laurinaitis, former head of talent relations at WWE, as a defendant, along with Vince, and mentions the name of famous wrestler Brock Lesnar to be indulged in the exploitation of Janel.
According to the lawsuit, on June 15, 2021, Vince McMahon allegedly s*xually assaulted her in an office at the WWE headquarters in Stamford, along with an executive. A similar incident occurred again on June 23, 2021, after which she received $15,000 in Bloomingdale’s gift cards from McMahon’s assistant.
After his misdeeds were revealed to his wife, McMahon reportedly forced Grant to resign from her position. He also coerced her into signing an NDA. Grant was assured by McMahon that he would protect her reputation and provide financial assistance, committing to a $3 million payment.
