“In a life like that of so much negativity and so much the drugs and like I said, the depression, the only thing I knew for sure is what I didn’t want to be,” she confessed in an episode of After The Bell podcast. The abuse reached a limit, and her mother moved out along with her leaving her father behind. The solo mother too struggled a lot and Lacey often spent her nights in the tents.
4. Lacey Evans has been a part of the United States Marine Corps
Before stepping up in professional wrestling, Macey Estrella-Kadlec (Lacey Evans) had accepted the military as the aim of her life. She has been a police officer in the United States Marine Corps. Evans was only 19 when she joined the forces and looking back at it, she feels that it has been one of the best decisions of her life.

“It taught me to see the other side of life, to see the positive in the motivation, in what you’re capable of mentally, physically, and emotionally,” revealed Lacey talking about her run in the military. It was in the Marines that she was offered an opportunity for professional wrestling through a Staff Sergeant.
3. Lacey Evans has over an 18-year love story
The WWE fame may have a lot of things astray from her childhood, but the love of her life completed her. Lacey Evans married her childhood love Alfonso Estrella-Kadlec on January 13, 2010. The couple first met when Lacey was 15 and have stood strong through each other’s thick and thin since then.

“Find someone who knows what the bottom and the top feels like. Then check eachother as needed,” she wrote in an Instagram post dedicated to their married life. The duo is very obsessed with each other as is evident in their social media. Professionally, Alfonso is in the construction business.

The Lady of WWE is very sincere and dedicated in real life. She became a mother to a daughter when she was 22 and again in 2021 her Instagram account is full of love for her kids. “You know when I started with WWE, I had a child, she was very young, but she was not six weeks old,” she once told Brandi Rhodes.
Not just Macey but her husband Alfonso is equally vocal about the love he has for his family. His Instagram username goes ‘theladysmaestro’ which is named after his wife’s in-ring name.
