Jayda Curry probably never imagined having her name mentioned alongside an NBA legend in the same sentence. She has been raising a few eyebrows lately because of her surname. Several people have come forth asking if she is related to the Golden State Warriors point guard, Stephen Curry. But unfortunately, she is not related to him in any sort of way.
Jayda Curry is an exceptional athlete and often finds herself in the hands of success. As a child, she had incredible form and outperformed everybody she played against. Jayda Curry was born in Corona, California, on May 2, 2002. The fact that she is from California is proof enough that Steph isn’t related to her. However, the two have mutual respect as mentor and mentee. However, she formerly played for the University of California located in Berkeley. As talented and gifted a player as she is right now, the baller started as a high-schooler and was propelled into the stratosphere.

The African-American female basketball star was praised for his work on the court during high school. She played at Centennial High School for a few years where she bagged multiple accolades. She was named Player of the Year by MaxPreps, Riverside, and Press-Enterprise back in 2020 for her excellence in the sport. Since then, it’s all been moving upward.
Jayda Curry holds multiple scoring records with Centennial High School, including the highest points in a single game. In four years of high school, she was able to rack up over 2000 points, along with 500+ rebounds, 300+ steals, and assists. Steph Curry also displayed similar performances during his high school and college days.
California guard Jayda Curry has announced that she will be transferring to Louisville.
Curry started every single game in her two seasons at Cal and led the squad in scoring both years (16.9 PPG).
