WWE NXT is the home of many young and rising talents who display unmatched athleticism and agility. Each year, the developmental brand develops young guns that become future stars. Amari Miller seemed to be a potential NXT prospect to watch. She stood out among the program’s female characters as a performer who might create a lot in the years to come.
On August 20, 2017, she made her wrestling debut under the ring name Branae in the Nebraska-based MWA Pro Wrestling promotion. She made her NXT debut on June 8, 2021, under the new ring name Amari Miller, but lost a squash match against Mercedes Martinez. Miller defeated Cora Jade for her maiden WWE singles victory. She spent the rest of the year competing on 205 Live and NXT.
Amari showed why she was worth the hype and had a lot of experience prior to joining the WWE. She took the long route to come to the Stamford-based promotion. The 27-year-old also wrestled in the Evolve Wrestling promotion, where she made a huge name for herself. Throughout her tenure in the WWE, she battled several female talents and was always ready to deliver.
In March 2022, Amari Miller was stretchered out of the event and revealed that she had sustained a concussion during her match with Lash Legend. However, she subsequently recovered and is ready to resume her activities. Miller has kept her personal life a secret and has not talked much about having a boyfriend anywhere. While she never had any controversies in her professional life, she suffered a lot in her personal life.
Amari Miller suffered from depression at one point
Mental health is a vital factor that, if neglected, can lead to poor decisions in life. A comparable event occurred with Amari Miller, who made headlines in 2023. Miller admitted to attempting suicide and sought help from fans. After Amari tore her ACL, she underwent surgery, which took a lot of time. She was fazed by the setbacks and had thoughts of giving up living and taking her own life.
Things certainly took a turn after she sought help and came into recovery mode. By updating her lifestyle during her recovery on Instagram, Miller talked about mental health repeatedly. “It is ok to ask for help!! Mental hospitals are not a sign of weakness!! I got the help I needed and I’m back healthy and happy inside & out,” tweeted Miller.
She came back better than ever and was fully focused on giving stellar matches in NXT. Miller returned and had several matches against top-tier talents, including Alba Fyre, Indi Hartwell, and many more female talents.
