Arguably the greatest mixed martial artist of all time, Georges St-Pierre retired from the sport in 2019. Since then there has been a lot of speculation whether GSP would return to fight Khabib Nurmagomedov in a super fight. However, that fight is very unlikely to happen now as Khabib has also retired from MMA.
After his win over Justin Gaethje, Khabib Nurmagomedov announced retirement, closing the door on a possible fight with Georges St-Pierre. However, that has not stopped GSP to train his body like a true martial artist.
In fact, the former welterweight champion has taken his training to the next level. Georges St-Pierre is currently training with legendary boxing coach Freddie Roach who has trained boxing stars such as Mike Tyson, Manny Pacquiao, Oscar De La Hoya, and many more.

Georges St-Pierre is not the only MMA fighter who is currently training with Freddie Roach. Ben Askren also trained with coach Freddie for a while ahead of his boxing debut against Jake Paul. Besides Askren, former lightweight interim champion, Tony Ferguson is also training with Freddie Roach for his octagon return against Beneil Dariush.

Will Georges St-Pierre return to UFC?
When Khabib Nurmagomedov was still competing in the UFC the chances of GSP making a return was huge. Both GSP and Khabib were intrigued to test their skill sets against each other in the octagon. But, after Khabib’s retirement, it’s very unlikely for GSP to make a return.
Josh Thompson claims Khabib will come back to fight GSP
UFC welterweight champion, Kamaru Usman has called out GSP for a dream matchup to find out who the real welterweight GOAT is. However, GSP did not seem very intrigued to take on the reigning welterweight champion.
Georges St-Pierre is a lifelong martial artist and he loves to train and add new skillsets to his arsenal. And that has to be the motive of GSP here. Though the fans are hoping for another comeback of GSP. It’s very unlikely that GSP will put on the UFC gloves again.
