Victor Wembanyama is a freak of nature. Not wanting to be categorized as a ‘Unicorn’ like players such as Kristaps Porzingis, Wembanyama prefers the term ‘Alien’, as he says he is not from this world.

The first thing you notice about Wembanyama would be his towering frame. There was so much ambiguity around his height when he first entered the league, that he was estimated to be all the way from 6 feet and 8 inches to 7 feet and 6 inches.
Of course, 6’8 was a gross underestimation but after seeing many pictures of Wemby standing next to NBA players like Rudy Gobert, we knew he was at least 7’2. Wembanyama’s official height is now listed at 7’5 inches in shoes but considering that he is only 19 years old, there may be room for him to grow.
How tall is Victor Wembanyama compared to Boban Marjanovic?
Boban Marjanovic is widely known in the NBA and it’s mainly for two reasons. One is being one of the most liked and gentle basketball players ever. Marjanovic is always seen as a happy-go-lucky player who boosts morale in the locker and is always seen having fun with teammates on social media.
The other reason is he is recognizable as one of the biggest players to ever play in the NBA. Popularly known as the gentle giant, Boban stands at 7 feet and 4 inches and weighs 132 kilograms or about 291 pounds.
Comparing this to the newly entered Victor Wembanyama, we do see that Wembanyama has the height advantage but only by a measly inch. Boban however outweighs Wemby by a mountain. Wembanyama weighs only 95 kilograms, which seems crazy considering that Kevin Durant whose literal nickname is ‘The Slim Reaper’ weighs a whole 10 more kilograms than Wemby.
Coming to wingspan, one thing was sure about Victor when he was coming into the league and that was that he was going to be a generational shot blocker. With an 8-foot wingspan, Wembanyama is even able to block three-pointers. Marjanovic on the other hand only has a 7 feet 8 inch wingspan.
Finally comparing their athleticism or vertical, Vic boasts a 32-inch vertical leap whereas Boban can only jump 23 inches off the ground. At the end of the day Victor seems to have all the tools to have a much better career than Boban, but no one messes with the NBA’s most likeable player.
