Biles has been training her body since the age of 6. She gets up around 7.40 a.m. on her usual training days. She then runs to her kitchen to prepare her breakfast. She prefers berries, egg whites, and fruits in the morning to give her day an energetic start. Her first training session starts at 9 a.m., which includes training in the gym for three hours, and wraps up at 12 p.m.
“I train seven hours a day. I do have Sundays off. So, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, I train twice a day. Thursday and Saturday I train once a day,” Biles said on The Tonight Show.
Biles also mentioned that she takes Sundays off in addition to the hectic 7-hour training week. Her workout is combined with a set of exercises. A warm-up may include running, jumping jacks, and dynamic stretches. Biles also moves on to strength training exercises such as squats, deadlifts, bench presses, and rows.
She also does a lot of core exercises, such as planks, sit-ups, crunches, and leg raises. After strength training, Biles works on her gymnastics skills. She practices her routines on the floor, balance beam, uneven bars, and vault.
