Tom Aspinall shocked the world when he knocked out Sergei Pavlovich in the first round at UFC 295. Even though Aspinall became the UFC interim heavyweight champion he was in a tough spot.
Jon Jones is currently away from the action due to his injury and multiple surgeries. And it’s uncertain when the reigning heavyweight champion is going to return to defend his title.

That left Tom Aspinall with one opponent, Stipe Miocic. Ever since winning the interim title, Aspinall has been campaigning for a fight against Stipe Miocic. However, it seems Aspinall will have to wait a little longer for his next fight.
Stipe Miocic refuses to fight Tom Aspinall at UFC 300
Tom Aspinall recently confirmed that UFC offered him to fight against Stipe Miocic at UFC 300. However, the most decorated heavyweight champion of all time has refused to fight Aspinall for the interim heavyweight title.

As per Tom Aspinall, Stipe Miocic only wants to fight Jon Jones for his potential last MMA fight. Jones and Miocic were originally scheduled to fight each other in the main event of UFC 295. However, Jones’ injuries and multiple surgeries forced UFC to crown a new interim heavyweight champion.
At the moment, it is unclear when Jon Jones is going to make his octagon return for his next title defense. However, fans can expect him to fight Miocic in 2024.

Even if Tom Aspinall vs Stipe Miocic does not come to fruition, UFC 300 is already stacked with many entertaining fights.
