UFC Vegas 78 will see two Brazilians in the form of Rafael dos Anjos and Vicente Luque go up against each other in the main event. The five-round welterweight bout will see Luque stepping into the ring after a brutal knockout that led to a brain hemorrhage back in 2022. That loss to Geoff Neal caused Luque to take time off and recover, and now he’s extremely grateful to be back in action.
Additionally, Luque has also been medically cleared by the Nevada State Athletic Commission for his main event bout against one of the most decorated Brazilian fighters in the UFC. This is what he had to say regarding that knockout loss during a recent press conference ahead of the fight.

“That was definitely unfortunate, but I was 100 percent blessed to be able to recover very well,” Luque told reporters at the UFC on ESPN 51 media day. “Since the first day, right after the fight when I got the news, they did all the testing, all the exams and everything went well. My body was recovering.
Interestingly, that was the first time Luque was knocked out and injured to the extent of being sidelined for months. Now, he seems keen to show the world that he can come back strong from a setback and hopefully get a win against dos Anjos.
The fight card also has an exciting featherweight clash between Cub Swanson and Hakeem Dawood. Swanson, a veteran of the game, has been involved in some of the most exciting fights in UFC history, notably, against Brian Ortega and The Korean Zombie.
Which walkout songs will Rafael dos Anjos and Vicente Luque use for UFC Vegas 78?
In the past Rafael dos Anjos has walked out to the ring with the theme so of the movie Bloodsport featuring Jean-Claude Van Damme. Fight to Survive by Stan Bush is an ideal walkout song for the Brazilian who literally lives by those words. Vicente Luque has previously walked out to Baby Baby by TropKillaz for his fights and is likely to do so during the weekend.
Hopefully, the song will pump him up for his big return.
Which walkout songs will the rest of the main card fighters use at UFC Vegas 78?
Cub Swanson has walked out to several songs in the past, including Jungle by Jamie N Common and X Ambassadors, the song is also used by the Cincinnati Bengals as their stadium hype songs. It makes sense as their home field is also known as The Jungle. Swanson has also walked out to Icon by Jaden Smith on some occasions, and most famously he has walked out to a song from “The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run.”
Previously, Swanson called on “Krabby Step” by Lil Mosey, Swae Lee and Tyga from the movie for his walkout to fight Darren Elkins at UFC Fight Night 199. It will be interesting to see what he chooses as his walkout song this weekend.
Hakeem Dawodu is likely to walk out to “No Bap Freestyle” by Young M.A. So which walkout are you looking forward to the most? Let us know in the comments down below.
