Tech billionaires Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk have sparked rumors of a potential MMA fight between each other after agreeing to fight over social media. Many believed that neither of the two had any intention of actually fighting. However, UFC President Dana White confirmed that both Zuckerberg and Musk are genuinely interested in making the fight happen.
Dana White was even interested in hosting the fight under UFC’s banner after he was approached by Mark Zuckerberg. While that was the case at first, Elon Musk recently tweeted that UFC was out of the picture. The fight would be hosted by his and Zuckerberg’s foundation and would be streamed on X and Meta.
YouTube boxer Jake Paul even celebrated that the fight won’t happen through UFC. However, Mark Zuckerberg has a different opinion to that of Elon. The META CEO recently demanded that either UFC or ONE be part of the event as it would put the spotlight on many great fighters.
“When I compete, I want to do it in a way that puts a spotlight on the elite athletes at the top of the game. You do that by working with professional orgs like the UFC or ONE to pull this off well and create a great card,” wrote Mark Zuckerberg.
While no solid news of the fight has yet been confirmed, rumors regarding the fight continue to make headlines. However, according to Musk he is all prepared to make the fight in Italy.
Elon Musk talks about fighting Mark Zuckerberg at the Colosseum
After calling out each other over social media, Billionaire CEOs Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk have been generating waves for the past couple of months. Several fighters have weighed their opinions and pitched their names to train Zuckerberg and Elon.
While a fixed date for the bout is yet to be announced, Elon Musk has already decided on a venue. According to the X CEO, the Colosseum in Rome, Italy has been finalized as for the huge fight due to it’s vast history.
“I spoke to the PM of Italy and Minister of Culture. They have agreed on an epic location,” tweeted Elon.
The fight will be managed by my and Zuck’s foundations (not UFC).
Livestream will be on this platform and Meta. Everything in camera frame will be ancient Rome, so nothing modern at all.

UFC President Dana White, during his interview on Mike Tyson’s podcast, also revealed about finalizing the Colosseum for the fight. White also added that he has been in talks with the Italian Minister of Culture’s team for the fight. While the situation around UFC’s involvement in the fight is still dicey, Zuckerberg has suggested he won’t move forward without the presence of a professional organization.
With the Colosseum on the verge of being finalized, the anticipation for the fight seems to be growing among everyone. However, there is still the probability the fight never takes place. Do you think both billionaires settle their differences in the cage? Let us know in the comments below.
