Former UFC lightweight champion and one of the greatest fighters of all time, Khabib Nurmagomedov, has always kept his family away from the media. His wife and kids have not revealed their faces to the world yet. He has also never talked about them or posted any photos with them on social media.
But MMA fans always try to get a closer look into their favorite fighters’ life. Now Khabib has recently revealed his kid is five years old and is already taking his training in MMA. The video is surfing all around the internet and the fans are already excited for the next fighter from the Nurmagomedov clan.
In one of his latest interviews, Khabib Nurmagomedov was asked about his kid and if his kids are training in any kind of sports. Khabib stated that his kid had begun training at the age of 3.5 years. His kid trains in gymnastics and MMA. Khabib also revealed that he will be his kids’ wrestling coach.

“My son is already training and doing gymnastics and has a good coach that I trust. He already trains in Makhachkala. He started earlier than I did, at 3.5 years of age.”

“You have a better candidate than me?” Khabib replied.
“It’s interesting to know who will coach him?” The reporter said.
“I’ll be coaching him,” Khabib concluded.
When did Khabib Nurmagomedov start training?
Khabib Numagomedov started to train at the very early age of 4 years old. He was majorly trained by his father since childhood. Nurmagoemdov started training in wrestling when he was a kid. His video of wrestling with bears at four years old is widely recognized. Khabib is also a world-renowned sambo master. He then went on an amazing winning streak of 16 fights before getting signed by the UFC.

After signing with the UFC, Khabib started training at the American Kickboxing Academy in San Jose, California.
He then assembled 13 fight-win streaks in the UFC with four title fight wins. He won the vacant UFC lightweight title against Al Iaquinta. Khabib then went on to defend his lightweight title against top contenders like Conor McGregor, Dustin Poirier, and Justin Gaethje. After his final title defense against Justin Gaethje at UFC 254, he announced his retirement. The reason for his sudden retirement was the death of his father and trainer Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov.
After announcing his retirement from the sport of MMA, he purchased the Gorilla Fighting Championship for $1 million and become an MMA promoter himself. He is now also a trainer for his long-time friend, the UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev.
