Bryce Mitchell has had a remarkable journey in the UFC ever since he joined the promotion as a relatively unknown fighter on The Ultimate Fighter 27 in 2018. Despite his modest performance initially on the show, ‘Thug Nasty’ has since become a dominant force inside the Octagon. With a record of 6-1, he has firmly established himself as a permanent presence in the featherweight division of the UFC.
The fighter has gained notoriety as one of the most outspoken supporters of conspiracy theories within the UFC. From his assertion that the U.S. government deliberately engineered COVID-19 to control access to firearms to his strong belief in a flat Earth, Mitchell has consistently supported and also promoted various conspiracy theories, setting him apart as a unique personality in the realm of MMA.
Bryce Mitchell recently made an appearance on the former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping’s ‘Believe You Me’ podcast, which is co-hosted by light heavyweight veteran Anthony Smith. During the podcast, Mitchell raised a question to Bisping about human evolution. He asked, “Do you believe that we evolved from monkeys?”

Understandably, the British legend Bisping burst into laughter when this unexpected question came his way. However, Bisping then controlled himself and asserted that he did believe in the above theory. Mitchell did not hold himself back after this answer, as he angrily exclaimed, “Bullsh*t! that’s bullsh*t. It’s bullsh*t; it’s a lie from Satan! It’s a lie from Satan, brother! You have been tricked; you have been deceived. We are not coming from monkeys. We are the apex predators.”
While the MMA world enjoyed this absurd conversation involving Bryce Mitchell and Michael Bisping, this coming from the former was not surprising at all.
Bryce Mitchell claims to be the biggest ‘cash cow’ for the UFC featherweight division
Bryce Mitchell will be returning to the Octagon at UFC Fight Night 228 as he is set to take on Dan Ige this weekend. At the presser before his co-main event fight, Mitchell claimed that he is the biggest cash cow for the promotion when it comes to the 145-pound division of the sport.
“I think there’s going to be a realization that I’m the cash cow. Eventually, somebody is going to realize they’re sitting on gold. They’re sitting on gold… They’re ain’t another pay-per-view draw like me in this division.” said Bryce Mitchell.

Just like many other UFC fighters, Bryce Mitchell has also made a name for himself with his outlandish takes on controversial subjects. However, that does not take away anything from the fact that he is a highly skilled fighter and a top featherweight prospect for the UFC.
