UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya is all set to take on top middleweight contender Sean Strickland in the main event of UFC 293 on September 9 in Sydney, Australia. Ever since the matchup was announced, fans were more excited for the events leading up to the fight than the fight itself. This is because Sean Strickland is one fighter who takes trash-talking to the most brutal level.
While ‘Tarzan’ has been badmouthing the reigning champion, a YouTuber has released a video making bizarre claims about Izzy that has gone viral on the internet. The YouTuber talks about Adesanya’s dog fetishes in the video, and many, including Strickland and another middleweight, Dricus du Plessis, have reacted to it.
Additionally, Israel Adesanya has also been constantly attacked for his Chinese connection, and his opponent, Strickland, has gone as far as calling him a ‘Chinese sl*t.” This all started when a video went insanely viral in which Adesanya was seen with the Chinese flag. Izzy spent a brief period of time in China for his kickboxing career and also did some advertisements to earn some extra bucks on the side. In one such advertisement, he did a part where he spoke some lines while donning the flag of China.

However, even after much trolling, the middleweight champion seems least bothered by all of this. He recently posted a tweet revealing the shorts he will be wearing in his title defense at UFC 293. The Kiwi fighter also donned his UFC champion belt around his shoulders and would like to retain it against Sean Strickland.
Israel Adesanya maintains silence when asked about the dog-fetish’ controversy
For those who are unaware, a YouTube channel named The MMA Guru recently posted a video pointing out Adesanya’s somewhat disturbing fascination for dogs. Screenshots shared by The MMA Guru account reveal troubling instances where Adesanya reacted to unsettling dog-related content on Instagram. Among these disturbing actions was Adesanya’s liking of an image depicting a girl in a canine posture, subjected to demeaning treatment by a man.
Further investigation revealed even more evidence, including Adesanya inappropriately touching his pet dog’s private parts and donning a dog collar around his own neck. Moreover, in the much-anticipated press conference before their fight, Israel Adesanya decided to maintain silence when Sean Strickland questioned him about the above-mentioned controversy.
This further puzzled his fans as to why he chose not to defend himself against some serious allegations. While the UFC champion is not new to trolling or controversies, this one appears to be a lot more serious. What do you make of Izzy’s social media activities? Tell us in the comments!
