American fighter Colby Covington has made an astonishing revelation about former US President Donald Trump. It is not an undisclosed fact that Covington is a huge supporter of Trump. In 2022, Covington even called Trump the “greatest living American“ and “greatest president in history“. However, Colby’s revelation about the former US President is going to come as a surprise to almost every UFC fan.
Colby Covington recently sat down for an interview with former MMA fighter Daniel Cormier. In that, Covington talked about his upcoming UFC 296 clash against Leon Edwards on December 16 in Las Vegas. Cormier also asked ‘Chaos’ about Donald Trump, who’s going to be present for the highly anticipated clash.

Talking about the 45th American President, Colby Covington revealed he has been getting some fighting tips from Donald Trump. He admitted that, despite being a busy man, Trump takes his time to talk with him and even gives him some tips about how to fight. While Covington didn’t reveal Donald’s advice, he did reveal that the former US President knows a thing or two about wrestling.
Colby ‘Chaos’ Covington admitted, “He[Donald Trump] can fight; he was a wrestler; he can fight man. Bro, he used to wrestle; he is a wrestler like us man; he is one of us for real. When I was at the White House, he told me“.
Meanwhile, Covington has expressed his disappointment at not being able to walk out with Donald Trump at UFC 296. Despite Covington’s request, UFC President Dana White decided that it was in the best interest of everyone for Colby not to walk out with Trump, as it would create mayhem.
Donald Trump’s relationship with the WWE
In the meantime, Donald Trump is also associated with WWE and the UFC. Trump’s relationship with Vince McMahon, the co-founder of WWE, goes way back in time to the late 1980s. Back in 2013, Trump spoke about his relationship with McMahon and called him an “amazing guy.” He further admitted that the huge success that WWE has achieved over the years has been brought to fruition by Vince McMahon.
In addition to this, Trump has made several appearances in the Stamford-based promotion over the years. From being a guest ring announcer to becoming the owner of WWE’s flagship event, ‘WWE RAW’, Trump has seen it all. The former US President also sponsored WWE’s Wrestlemania from 1985 to 1990. Donald Trump was also inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2013, despite some protests over his inclusion and demands for his removal arising in 2021.
