UFC bantamweight fighter Sean O’Malley comes to the aid of Russian social media sensation, Hasbulla. Recently, there was a video that showed the Russian sensation seemingly abusing his cat. The 20-year-old recorded the video himself, as he pulled his pet cat Barsik by its ears and then proceeded to punch the house cat a few times. Although Hasbulla has an adorable presence about him, the video d,.id not reflect flatteringly on him.

After the video surfaced, Israel Adesanya’s teammate and UFC lightweight fighter, Dan Hooker, blasted the 20-year-old on Twitter. He called for the Russian to be canceled in light of the controversy. However, the fellow UFC fighter and the top-ranked bantamweight fighter, Sean O’Malley has a different take on the matter. Recently, in a video uploaded to his YouTube channel, “Suga Sean” addressed the issue.
He said, “Well, we gotta remember, he’s like he’s disabled or handicapped. He’s got a disability. We gotta remember, we look at him like a 20-year-old little person. He definitely has a disability.”
What disability does Hasbulla have?
Hasbulla Magomedov’s appearance is definitely deceiving. Although he has the body and the look of a 5-year-old, Hasbulla is 20 years of age. He was born in 2003. Recently, even Mike Tyson was reportedly fooled as he treated Magomedov like an infant. UFC fighter Sean Strickland also criticized Khabib Nurmagomedov and Islam Makhachev for not treating Hasbulla like the fully grown man he is.
So one may ask, why is Hasbulla so short in height and why did Sean O’Mally say that he has a disability? Hasbulla stands at 3’4 and his unusual height is a result of his ‘Dwarfism.’ According to a report from The Scotsman, Hasbulla suffers from Growth Hormone Deficiency (GHD).
It is a rare condition that is caused when the pituitary gland does not secrete enough growth hormone. GHD stuns the growth of a human being and that is the root of Hasbulla’s unusually short height. It is the condition that Sean O’Malley was referring to. However, O’Malley’s coach, Tim Welch, also revealed that he heard conflicting reports about Hasbulla having “the mind of a third grader.”
While there are reports that people with GHD tend to have low IQs, there are no indications of them not having a normal brain. However, neither Tim nor Sean is a medical expert and they were speculating about Hasbulla just like the rest of the fan base. Since the video surfaced, Hasbulla denied the claims of abuse and labeled his actions as disciplining his cat.
O’Malley, who is coming off a huge win against Petr Yan at UFC 280, is yet to make any official announcements about his next fight.
