UFC Featherweight fighter Bill Algeo responds to the news that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has been kicked out from the DC Extended Universe. Bill reacted to Dwayne’s most recent tweet in which he addressed the fans over the status of Black Adam in the DC Extended Universe.

Under James Gunn’s direction at DC, Dwayne Johnson has announced he is finished playing Black Adam, at least momentarily. Johnson announced the information via social media on Tuesday. He also stated that Seven Bucks and DC would “continue exploring the most useful ways Black Adam might be used in future DC universe chapters.”
The DC Universe decisions made by James Gunn and Peter Safran in recent weeks have caused a lot of discussion among fans. The DC world has undergone a lot of changes lately, including the scrapping of Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman 3 and the recasting of a few characters along the way. Henry Cavill was also dropped from his role as Superman.
Love @TheRock & I’m always excited to see what he & Seven Bucks do next. Can’t wait to collaborate soon. 🙏 https://t.co/NLwRqBVkd1

James Gunn replied to Dwayne Johnson’s statement by replying to his tweet.
UFC fighter criticizes The Rock
The Rock being thrown from the DC universe generated an instant reaction from Bill Algeo. UFC fighters have previously spoken out against Johnson. The Rock and the UFC agreed to a sponsorship deal in January 2022 in which the fighters would wear “Project Rock” shoes.
The shoe deal press release was silent on two key things.
How much the UFC is pocketing. And how much goes to the fighters forced to wear the shoes.
Seems the answer is
1. A shit load
2. Fuck all— Erik Magraken (@erikmagraken) September 1, 2022
Combat sports attorney Erik Magraken noted that the financial information was purposely hidden because the contract benefits the UFC greatly while the fighters receive nothing. This could be one of the reasons for the lack of appreciation for the “Great One” from UFC fighters. Although the stories are unproven, there have been rumors about them for quite some time.
Dwayne Johnson makes an announcement about his DCU future
Following James Gunn and Peter Safran’s leadership of the DC Extended Universe, Dwayne Johnson released a statement on Twitter that provides an update on the situation regarding Black Adam in the DC Universe. Dwayne Johnson confirmed that Black Adam “will not be in the first chapter of storytelling” for the reboot that James Gunn and Peter Safran are currently working on.

Dwayne confirmed that DC and Seven Bucks would try to use the Black Adam character and his storyline in any way they could. But the hard reboot that the DCEU is undergoing raises the question of whether Black Adam will ever make a comeback.
