“Gordon had a horrible gameplan going into that third round. You think you won the first two rounds? With the judges, how do you know that? Why go in there and throw away the third round and not go in there and fight your a** off and try to win.” Dana White said during the post-fight press conference.

Bad judging in the UFC is nothing new, it’s almost as if UFC President Dana White and fighters have grown accustomed to it. Reacting on a similar line of thought, White reacted strongly to Jared Gordon who went in with a game plan to stall the fight in the third round by maintaining the clinch position near the cage. Moreover, it’s safe to say, Gordon thought he won the first two rounds, and just wanted to get by in the third round to seal the deal.

White did not stop here, as he slammed referee Herb Dean for not calling out the fighters for little to no action during the entire course of the third round.
UFC President criticized the referee for not acting up despite a lackluster affair from both the fighters in the third round. “I got go after the ref too, big fight, co-main event, third round, the crowd going crazy, and you gonna let them stand against the fence, the entire fight?” He said, all the while slamming Gordon was his “horrible” gameplan.

Switching the entire narrative, White did not talk about the robbery or whether or not Gordon deserved the victory but opined strongly on Gordon’s decision to not go guns blazing in the third round, leading to the loss. One wonders if it means Dana White thought Paddy Pimblett won the fight. What are your thoughts?
