UFC fans are getting familiar with rising featherweight Nate Landwehr. Born on June 7, 1988, ‘The Train‘ played football from the third grade all the way to the end of high school. In terms of MMA, Nate began competing professionally in 2012 and has never looked back.
Outside the cage, the former M-1 Global featherweight champion is also making waves on social media with his antics. After making his UFC debut in January 2020, the Tennessee native has amassed a 4-2 record under the banner. It may have perhaps taken a while for fans to appreciate his fighting style. Nonetheless, at the moment, Nate is working on making a big name for himself.

In a division currently ruled by Alexander Volkanovski, Landwehr has fought some of the toughest opponents. Out of his 4 wins, the American bagged two “Performance of the Night” bonuses and one “Fight of the Night” bonus.
Though seemingly short, Nate’s UFC resume has renowned names on it, most notably Darren Elkins, Herbert Burns, and David Onama. One of his most famous finishes came against Ludovit Klein when he finished the latter via an Anaconda choke in October 2021. Garnering such victories has only helped Nate grab more eyeballs over his career.

In August 2019, the Mayor of Clarksville, Joe Pitts, honored Nate Landwehr with a proclamation making August 29 “The Train Landwehr Day.” Attaining this reward at such a young age, mixed with his fighting career, has brought along a lot of attention to his personal life. Fortunately for the curious MMA fans, Nate has remained pretty open about it.
