Jon Jones is one of the best MMA fighters in the world and his journey has involved immense support from his two brothers. Jon is the middle child with an elder brother named Arthur and a younger brother named Chandler. They were born to parents Arthur Jr. and Camille Jones. All three of the Jones brothers went on to create a career in professional sports and played football at least at the high school level.
Jon was a stand-out high school wrestler and played football as a defensive lineman. He earned his nickname “Bones” due to his slight frame. Jon won the NJCAA wrestling championships before moving to college and beginning studies for Criminal Justice. However, Jon’s passion lay in MMA and he dropped out of college to make a career in the sport.

He became one of the best fighters in the MMA industry and owns a professional record of 27-1-1 as of September 2023. He has won the UFC Light Heavyweight championship and the UFC Heavyweight championship.
Jon has given his brothers the credit for his MMA career. In an interview with ‘Mike and Mike’, he stated, “When it comes to size, I’m the smallest by far. So, I’ve been getting my b*tt kicked since I was a little boy and I just became comfortable with combat.”
Let’s find out more about Jon’s brothers Arthur and Chandler.
Arthur Jones is the eldest of the Jones brothers
Arthur was born on June 3, 1986 (37 year old). At Union-Endicott High School, Arthur played football and wrestled in his early days. Reports suggest he was a state champion in wrestling, however, no record of the information is available. On the other hand, Jon has informed the NFL in an interview that his brother Arthur was “one of the best heavyweights in New York state wrestling history.”
He further stated, “I would wrestle him every day in high school and I would get my a*s kicked by my older brother my whole life.”
Arthur let wrestling take a backseat and pursued his career in football. He played college football for Syracuse and was selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the fifth round of the 2010 NFL Draft. Within two years, Arthur bagged the Super Bowl XLVII with the Ravens.

Arthur, who is 6 ft 3 in tall, joined the Indianapolis Colts in 2014. He faced issues with Performance-Enhancing Drugs and reportedly violated the NFL’s policy around PEDs. He was even suspended for four games in 2016.
“I’m on a mission, and I’m sticking with my mission to come here and dominate and play at a high level,” Jones told reporters, according to NFL. “I apologize to the organization, more importantly, my teammates and the fans, and I appreciate all of their support, too.”
At around the same time, Jon also faced issues with doping. He was stripped of his UFC Light Heavyweight title after returning a positive test with two banned substances.
A year later, Arthur was released. He was facing further issues with injuries and declared his retirement from the sport at the end of the 2017 season. As of 2023, Arthur’s net worth is reportedly around $10-20 million.
Chandler Jones is the youngest of the Jones brothers
Chandler followed the same suit as Arthur when it came to high school and college. Born on February 27, 1990 (33 years old), Chandler, however, was a first-round pick, unlike his elder brother. Chandler, who is 6 ft 5 in tall, was picked by the New England Patriots in 2012. This time, just like his brother, he won the Super Bowl two years after being drafted. Chandler won the Super Bowl XLIX.

In 2016, he was traded to the Arizona Cardinals and played there until 2021. In March 2022, he signed a whopping three-year, $51 million contract with the Las Vegas Raiders. As of 2023, Chandler Jones’ net worth is around $50 million as stated by Sportskeeda.
Chandler Jones was released by the Las Vegas Raiders after he was arrested in 2023
Chandler went through a tumultous few months in 2023 that finally led to him being released by the Raiders. Acording to NFL.com, the defensive end was arrested and “charged on two counts of violation of a domestic violence protection order.”
Chandler made several social media posts against several Raiders executives. In September, he was included in the Non-Football Illness list. Also, in that month, Chandler claimed that he was injected some substance by medical personnel after the Las Vegas Fire Department took him to a hospital and then a behavioral health facility against his will.
“I haven’t done anything wrong. The police said people were concerned about me because of my posts online,” Chandler wrote.

Later, in a bizarre live stream, Chandler discussed government issues and made further disturbing statements againt the Raiders’ executves. He even implied that Raiders coach Josh McDaniels was involved in Aaron Hernandez’s death.
“Oh, y’all didn’t know what Josh McDaniels really did to Aaron Hernandez?” Chandler asked his followers. “If y’all don’t know what really happened with Aaron Hernandez … y’all thought Aaron Hernandez killed himself in jail?”
“Y’all thought my n***a chico killed himself in jail?”
Chandler was arrested after this live stream. Later, he was released by the Raiders who said in a statement that they hope Chandler gets the care he needs.
Is Chris Jones related to the Jones brothers?
Chris Jones, born on July 3, 1994, is also an NFL star. He plays for the Kansas City Chiefs. Chris played his college football for Mississippi State and got picked by the Chiefs in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft.

Chris is a two-time Super Bowl champion with the Chiefs. The defensive tackle is often confused with the Jones brothers. Fans fall for his surname and believe that he is related to the Jones brothers who played in the NFL. However, Chris is not related to the Jones brothers.
The Jones brothers have immense support for each other
Whenever the Jones brothers have talked about each other in public, it has always been positive. They support each other in all their endeavors and it is wholesome to see.
For example, in an interview with Yahoo in March, Jon explained how strong Chandler is. Jon believes Chandler could become one of the top fighters if he ever joined the MMA. He said, “Chandler is– he’s a beast, dude. I think he could start MMA this year and by two years from now, be one of the top fighters on the planet. I genuinely believe that.”
Even when it came to football, Jon told NFL in an interview, a few years ago, “I believe my little brother was born to be a great football player.”
Going back a few years, in 2014, Arthur explained how protective he is of his brother. According to MMA Junkie, he said, “At the end of the day, I’m still the older brother, so I always want to protect him.”
