There has always been a debate around the authenticity of WWE, or pro-wrestling in general. Moreover, fans have argued for a long time that there are no physical risks involved in it as everything is preplanned. Debunking all the myths around Stamford-based promotion, Brock Lesnar gave a definite reply to everyone about how things work in pro wrestling.
Previously, in an interview with the UFC, The Beast Incarnate explained the genuine risk taken by these pro wrestlers in the ring. He talked explicitly about the pain and sacrifices that pro wrestlers go through to put on a show.
In his old interview at the UFC, when asked about pro-wrestling, The Beast Incarnate said, “Yeah, there’s still human beings in the ring flying around risking their lives, that’s what’s going on. I mean, if you can’t see that, you’re very ignorant. I wrestled many matches injured got injured. That ring is not just mom’s California king-size bed with some baler twine going around it”.
Brock Lesnar explained all the risks and physical toll wrestlers take while performing. Brock blatantly spoke about these professional wrestlers’ sacrifices to sustain their peak performance in the ring. He further went on to explain, “Even though the outcomes may be predetermined or, you know, even though it is you know entertainment. These guys that are going on and put out a show, you know they are getting hurt”.
Brock Lesnar talked about how he and Kurt Angle would push each other to the limit to create an impactful performance. He mentioned the instance where he accidentally broke Angle’s neck while in a duet with him. However, he also said that Kurt had neck issues before that match.
Brock Lesnar responds to Dana White calling pro wrestling fake
Previously in 2015, UFC President Dana White called WWE and other pro wrestling platforms “fake,” which led to controversy and raging responses from different Superstars.
@RKORollins not disrespecting what they do. All the WWE guys I have met are awesome people but yes it’s fake.

In an interview, Brock was asked to respond to Dana White‘s comment on pro wrestling being fake. Lesnar said, “Well of course Dana it’s fake all right everybody knows that but it’s still the same. You are promoting the same thing we are promoting, Dana White is promoting fights we are promoting fights“.
Moreover, Lesnar pointed out the fact that both UFC and pro wrestling are essentially based on the same business model. Both of them promote fights for entertainment and profit; it is just that pro wrestling has scripted results. He even went on to say that Vince McMahon was better than Dana White, as he is the pioneer of sports-based fighting entertainment.
42-year-old Lesnar, who is a former UFC heavyweight champion, had competed in WWE for quite a while. He is well known for breaking the WrestleMania streak of The Undertaker. He was last seen in the Stamford-based promotion at SummerSlam 2023, where he lost to Cody Rhodes after he took three consecutive Cross Rhodes from The American Nightmare.
Brock Lesnar cleared up the doubts around the authenticity of WWE. He tried to provide an insight into the difficulties faced by pro wrestlers. His confessions made it clear that wrestlers in any pro-wrestling format take genuine risks and put their bodies on the line to produce entertaining performances.
