UFC Fight Night, Andre Fili vs Joanderson Brito: Fight Breakdown
Despite 7 losses in the UFC, Andre Fili has fought some of the best fighters in the 145lbs division. He has competed against the likes of Max Holloway, Calvin Kattar and Yair Rodríguez. Fili recently came up short against a rising contender Bryce Mitchell as well. Although it does not reflect well on his CV, it proves that he does not lose to lesser competition easily.
His next opponent, Joanderson ‘Tubarao’ Brito is yet to prove his might in the UFC. But he certainly had a great streak of 12 fights where he was unbeaten. Tuberose is a well-rounded fighter who has 5 wins via KO/TKO and 5 via submission. However, it will not be easy for him to replicate either on Fili.
The 31-year old fighter is a scary fighter to face on the feet. He is no slouch on the mat either as he holds 3 submission victories and 9 KO/TKO wins. Fili is also an incredible takedown defence that very few have been able to crack.
Brito will shoot for a few takedowns for sure. That will be the easiest way of securing the first UFC victory of his career. However, if the Brazilian fighter is unable to take the fight to the ground, fans can expect Andre Fili to register his 10th UFC win.
