Although no information is available on his personal dating life, he happens to be unmarried. The 28-year-old stands six feet tall and fights at 155 lbs which is considered to be one of the most competitive divisions in UFC. Now, let’s learn more about his upbringing and how he managed to sign with UFC.
Where was Anshul Jubli Born ?
Born in a village called Bhatwari near Uttarkashi, Jubli migrated to different states due to his father’s job. After a series of relocations, the Jubli family finally settled in Dehradun. Anshul holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics which he completed in 2016.
However, during his younger days, Jubli wanted to join the Indian military, taking inspiration from his father. ‘King Of Lions’ was introduced to the world of MMA by one of his friend’s brother around 2015. This made him more curious about the sport and he stumbled into the world of combat sports by watching clips of several MMA fighters.
The 28-year-old was pretty late to start his fighting career as he started taking it seriously after he turned 23. Due to the lack of MMA training centres in his hometown of Dehradun, Jubli decided to move out.
To accumulate funds for his MMA journey, the Uttarakhand native put his bachelor’s degree to use and tutored students in maths.
He then moved to Delhi and started training at the Crosstrain Fight Club in Delhi where several of India’s top MMA talents trained. After moving to Delhi, Anshul underwent a rigorous training regime and soon transformed into an all-round MMA fighter.
From there on Anshul kept fighting opponents and emerged victorious in each one of his bouts. He then finally earned his UFC contract by defeating Indonesian fighter Jeka Saragih in Road To UFC.
Now, after all the trials, Jubli will finally make his much-anticipated debut against Mike Breeden at UFC 294. Do you think Anshul Jubli manages to make a successful debut? Let us know in the comments below.
