Outfits are an important part of an athlete’s appeal. A good outfit does wonders for a player, be it on or off the tennis court. But more often than not, it is a reflection of the player’s value and style- the way a player carries himself. However, the most important factor to consider is breathability and comfort.
The US Open does not have a strict dress code, unlike Wimbledon, which is why players dare to experiment. Today we take a look at some of the outfits that the pros will don on the biggest stage in the tennis world.
Novak Djokovic
The Serb is playing at the US Open for the first time since 2021. He was unable to participate last year due to his controversial stance on the COVID-19 vaccine. But Novak Djokovic is back on US soil and won the Cincinnati Open, defeating Carlos Alcaraz to lift the trophy.

Djokovic is the brand ambassador of Lacoste. The brand revealed Novak’s outfit recently, called the US Open Blue. As the name suggests, blue will be the primary color of Djokovic’s outfit at the Flushing Meadows.

Additionally, Novak is also the ambassador of Asics. The 23-time Grand Slam champion will wear a pair of blue tennis shoes to complement the outfit.
Carlos Alcaraz
The young Spaniard has been in remarkable form since he clinched the number-one spot in the ATP rankings. As the current US Open defender, Alcaraz is one of the leading contenders to repeat his feat at Arthur Ashe this year.
Alcaraz is the global ambassador of Nike. The young star has been seen donning some pretty colored outfits, and the last Slam of the year will not be an exception. It is rumored that the Spaniard will wear Nike’s turquoise range.
Carlos will hope his sponsor will come up with a bucket hat to go with his outfit this year. Alcaraz is quite the bucket hat aficionado and was often seen wearing one at Wimbledon this year.
Coco Gauff
The young American teen’s career has been on the rise. At 19 years of age, Gauff is already a Grand Slam finalist. She recently won her biggest WTA title on home soil, the Cincinnati Open. Given the upward trajectory of her form, Gauff will be hopeful to make a deep run at the US Open.
Gauff is sponsored by New Balance, which recently unveiled her look for the tournament. Coco will be seen in an all-yellow outfit with complementary shows at the Arthur Ashe starting next week.
Iga Swiatek
The current world number one player Iga is sponsored by the Roger-Federer-backed On. Swiatek switched to the brand from Asics earlier this year.
The 4-time Grand Slam champion will mount her title defense at the Flushing Meadows next week. She has found success on the tennis court this year and will hope to add another feather to her cap.

Since switching to the brand On, Iga has been seen wearing white and blue outfits. However, at the US Open, the brand added another color to give her outfit a little more oomph. Ben Shelton, the other player to be sponsored by the brand, will be seen in white, pink, and black.
Jessica Pegula
Pegula’s apparel from Adidas will honor Billie Jean King’s historic win in the ‘Batlle of the Sexes’. It has been 50 years since that incredible achievement, one that paved the way for equal pay at the US Open.

Pegula‘s outfit is called the Fall Slam Pro Set. It features a form-fitting leotard, with a detachable pleated skirt. Jessica will wear the Adidas Barricade Royal/Off White Women’s shoes to complete the look.
Leylah Fernandez
The young Canadian player is one of the rising prospects in tennis. She stole hearts with her performance at the US Open in 2021. Fernandez was the runner-up that year, losing to Emma Raducanu in the final.
