The month of February is packed with tennis action around the globe. One of the tournaments being played at the moment is the Dallas Open. It is an ATP 250 event, and some of the most well-recognized faces are competing at the tournament. With Valentine’s Day approaching, the players took part in an interesting interview.
The organizers of the tournament released a fun video segment as a way to reach more viewers. Some of the players who took part in it were Ben Shelton, Frances Tiafoe, and Chris Eubanks, among others. They were posed with a simple question: which ATP player would they be comfortable with their sister dating?
It was a tough question and left the players scratching their heads in thought. The answers varied, but Chris Eubanks was the most popular choice among his peers.

Michael Mmoh chose Marcos Giron, while Giron himself picked J. J. Wolf, adding that it was difficult to choose. The Australian duo of Jordan Thompson and Max Purcell and American star Tomy Paul refused to pick one of their peers. Eubanks went ahead with Shelton, while the youngster chose Eubanks.
Frances Tiafoe also chose Eubanks. However, nobody chose Tiafoe, a fact that did not escape the fans’ notice on social media. Users acknowledged that Eubanks was the best option, while another joked that “Tiafoe can’t be trusted.”

The Dallas Open is one of the many ATP tournaments being played at present. So far, the first few days of the event have been very exciting, to say the least. As the business end approaches, the players are surely set to take it up a notch.
The Dallas Open so far
The action at the tournament has been stunning from the get-go. It has seen a near-perfect debut and great upsets, and it promises a lot more.
Tommy Paul and Shelton cruised through the opening rounds to make it to the quarterfinals. Paul took on Taro Daniel and played long rallies to tire him out. The second seed easily defeated him 6-3, 6-2, in straight sets.
Shelton was as smooth as he was aggressive against Mmoh, defeating the fellow American 6-3, 6-3. “I was pretty surprised with the level I played at today. I felt comfortable out on the court playing and moving,” he said (via ATP Tour).

Eubanks lost 7-6, 6-4, to James Duckworth, despite putting up a good fight. Marcos Giron managed to oust Purcell 6-4, 6-3 in straight sets too. Tiafoe defeated 19-year-old Alex Michelsen to make it to the quarterfinals as well. Yoshihito Nishioka withdrew from his match against Adrian Mannarino, resulting in the French player also making it to the last eight.
The business end of the Dallas Open is approaching fast, and the players are gearing up for the final push. A title victory at Dallas would boost the player’s morale for the rest of the season.
