Novak Djokovic made a successful return to the tour after a month at the Paris Masters. He was last seen by the fans on the court in September during the Davis Cup. Djokovic was playing in Paris for the 18th time in his career. The Serbian had practiced with Carlos Alcaraz after coming to the event and also danced with Gael Monfils. The fans were already over-thrilled to have him in Paris.
Djokovic was clicking pictures with the fans and signing autographs on the court. An enthusiastic fan was trying to take a selfie with the player by putting his hands over him when security immediately pushed it back. The same happened when another fan tried to do the same. “This security should calm down, it’s just a photo,” commented a fan after watching the video.

Tennis Channel had posted the video on X and even took a dig at the security for being too harsh with the fans. Djokovic could not witness the incident as he was busy spending time with his fans. The world No.1 was happy to win the doubles match with Miomir Kecmanovic. It is the fourth time that Djokovic has played doubles at the Paris, and later revealed the reason behind it.
Novak Djokovic plays doubles at Paris Masters just for Davis Cup
Djokovic has started his victorious campaign at the Paris Masters. But this time, he opened up with a doubles victory with Kecmanovic. It was the first time Djokovic was partnering up with fellow countryman Kecmanovic. The pair secured a straight-set victory over Gonzalo Escobar and Aleksandr Nedovyesov in 68 minutes. The world No.1 was playing doubles for the Davis Cup Final eight matches in November.
Djokovic will be spearheading the attack versus Britain in the knockout stages. Serbia has a strong chance of taking the lead in singles, but for doubles, it will take their maximum effort to trouble the British players. Djokovic had said that the Serbian team is looking for a strong doubles combination. It was the reason why Djokovic was featured in doubles matches in Paris for the first time since 2021.

Djokovic and Kecmanovic will play against Rohan Bopanna and Matthew Ebden in the fourth round. Meanwhile, the 36-year-old will begin his singles match against Tomás Martin Etcheverry. Djokovic has the rankings and the Davis Cup to think about during the next few days in Paris.
