Italian tennis star Camila Giorgi is once again in the spotlight for her choice of dress at the Wimbledon championship. She took to social media to reveal the dress she will be wearing at the tournament, which has since gone viral on social media.
The dress in question is by Giomila, a luxury sportswear brand created by her mother Claudia Giorgi. She formally became its brand ambassador in 2021. The Florentine-based company offers limited-edition clothing and accessories for women.
Fans were taken aback by her unconventional dress with some fans ridiculing it, while others declared that Giorgi’s fashion is always on point and it might just be the dress of the tournament.

Camila Giorgi will want to walk the talk at SW19 this year. She takes on Varvara Gracheva in the first round.
Camila Giorgi is no stranger to dress fiascos
At the French Open last month, Giorgi caused quite a stir with her choice of outfit. The umpire spoke to the Italian prior to her match against fiery Belarussian player Aryna Sabalenka.
The match official’s major concern was the size of the advertising logo on her dress, and he requested that she change her dress. The logo in question was by DeLonghi, a kitchen appliance manufacturer.
“I don’t have any change, this is my only dress. I played with it before,” Giorgi said. She wasn’t deterred one bit by the intervention though, as she went on to defeat Sabalenka 4-6,6-1,6-0 and proceeded to the next round.
There was some drama with Giorgi’s dress before her match vs. Sabalenka. The comercial label was too big.

Match commentator Jose Morgado said that the umpire let her play in that outfit but he would surely take it up with the “office” after the match. Camila Giorgi had worn the same dress throughout the tournament, albeit without the DeLonghi logo.
