Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic had one of the best seasons of his career this year. He had a fairytale start to the year but could not finish on the same note. The Serbian team crashed out of the Davis Cup in the semifinal, and Djokovic took it hard. He found solace in his family, as they spent some quality time together.
Djokovic enjoyed an incredible run of form this year, winning three of the four Grand Slams. Moreover, he retook the top spot in the ATP rankings from Carlos Alcaraz. Novak also reached a major milestone, as he spent 400 weeks as the world’s number-one player.
Djokovic would have loved to taste success with his team in the Davis Cup, but it was not to be. Jannik Sinner defeated Djokovic in the important singles and doubles rubbers and thus knocked Serbia out. The Serb took it hard but found the best way to deal with it.

Novak spent some time with his family at the beach in Malaga, Spain, to forget the blues of the Davis Cup. He packed on the PDA with his wife, Jelena Djokovic, and was captured kissing.
Novak wore a pair of blue Lacoste swimming shorts as he played with his son, Stefan, on the sand. At one point, Djokovic even took his shirt off to play with his children. The Djokovic family also had their dog with them at the beach. On the whole, it seemed like a fun day for the family of four.
Novak Djokovic will look to put this past week behind him as soon as he can. Given the kind of player he is and his drive to be the best, he already has his eyes set on the target for 2024.
Novak Djokovic aiming for a special milestone next year
The Serb capped off his season by winning the ATP Finals in Turin. It was an incredible achievement, as he surpassed Roger Federer’s record of six titles by winning a seventh.
Novak knows what he wants to achieve next year. He came close to achieving it in 2021 but could not win a Golden Slam. Steffi Graf is the only player to have done it at the Seoul Olympics in 1988, and now Novak wants to be the only other player to achieve it.

“Well, you can win four slams and an Olympic gold. I have always the highest ambitions and goals. That’s not going to be different for the next year,” he said (via Reuters).
The Paris Olympics will be played at the Philippe Chatrier in Paris next year. Novak Djokovic has a real chance to surpass his rivals once and for all.
