Naomi Osaka and her boyfriend, Cordae, hit a rough patch this year after four years of togetherness. The speculations gained momentum in October this year, following the birth of their first child, Shai, in July. One of Naomi’s social media posts hinted at a potential breakup. Removing all references to Cordae from her Instagram account further fueled the rumors.
However, recent statements from Naomi shed light on the true status of their relationship. In an interview for InStyle’s December Celebration Issue, Naomi Osaka addressed the buzz surrounding her relationship with rapper Cordae. Contrary to breakup rumors, Osaka explained that they are still very much together and are navigating the challenges of parenthood.
Naomi shared insights into the bond with her rapper boyfriend, stating, “We built a really good foundation. I don’t know if it’s because he’s just an easygoing guy, but I think we just respect each other’s opinions.” She acknowledged that their disagreements were resolved through an open dialogue between the two. Naomi further expressed, “At the end of the day, we both want what’s best for Shai.”
