The Nitto ATP Finals is going through the final stages of the round-robin matches. A bit of a change was made in the green group at the beginning of the event. Hubert Hurkacz stepped in as the alternate for Stefanos Tsitsipas. Hurkacz played one match because Tstitsipas retired in his second match due to a back injury. Many fans did not appreciate the withdrawal of the Greek player.
Lacoste CEO Guibert Thierry took to X to express his disappointment in Tstitsipas. He started by saying he was impressed by Jannik Sinner but did not have the same feeling for Tsitsipas. Thierry said, “Hats off to for his win tonight. Despite the unfair behaviour of Tsitsipas, he showed to everyone why he is a future champ and an authentic guy.” Tstitsipas has not yet responded to the comment.

Fans were unhappy with Tstitsipas, as he had confirmed he was fit and fine a day before his final match. His withdrawal affected the chances of survival for other players, like Novak Djokovic. But Sinner had a must-win attitude in his third match, even though he qualified for the semifinals before the game. The Italian’s spirit has brought back the magic of the event.
Jannik Sinner reveals training tactics that improved his mentality
Sinner has been one of the best players in the ongoing Nitto ATP Finals. His undefeated run in the group stage proved his mental strength—the 22-year-old shared details on how he worked with Dr. Ricardo Ceccarelli and worked on his mentality. Ceccarelli has been known for his experience with Formula 1 racers. He has developed “formula medicine” for people to toughen up their mentality.

Sinner explained that he repeatedly solves problems on a computer, which Ceccarelli later analyzes. It was later known that repeating the process helped Sinner in the game. It also made the young star realize that he worked better under pressure. Sinner has been following similar tactics in the past, which has helped him find success on the court.
Did Novak Djokovic qualify for the ATP Finals semifinal?
The semifinalist lineup is almost ready at Turin. Sinner from the green group and Daniil Medvedev from the red group have already confirmed their places in the last four. Meanwhile, Djokovic’s chances hit a blow when he was defeated by Jannik Sinner. The Serbian seemed a bit tired in his match against Hurkacz and ended his group stage with three matches going until the decider.
Novak will be there…
NO MATTER WHAT! 😉

Djokovic’s place in the semifinal got confirmed as Sinner beat Holger Rune. If Rune had beaten Sinner, Djokovic would have ended his run in the group stage. The world No. 1 has at least reached the semifinals in each edition since 2019. There is still one semifinalist left for grabs, as it will be confirmed on the 17th of November.
