The 33-year-old confessed she never expected to return to Flushing Meadows. It helps because the transition into Grand Slam tennis will occur in comfortable surroundings that bring back wonderful memories. Wozniacki has appeared in the semifinals of five of her seven Grand Slam tournaments that have occurred in New York.
Motherhood has definitely brought a new perspective for the sport, confessed the Dane. Having to travel with two kids and practice for the Grand Slam simultaneously has been tiring yet exciting for her. The WTA ranked 623 will be playing in the grand slam with a wild card entry. She will be playing against a qualifier at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.
