While having fandoms and fan clubs is not a new concept in sports, especially Tennis. But Jannik Sinner seems to have a very unique and unusual fan club, called the Carota Boys. The ‘Carota Boys’ is a group of 6 men who ardently follow the Italian player. They have also been to a couple of his matches, the most reason one being his opening matches at Wimbledon.
When Sinner was asked whether he knew about his unique fan club, he explained why they are dressed as carrots and said “They are not here anymore, unfortunately. Obviously, I miss them a lot, maybe they are watching now, so I’m saying hi to you guys.”
Sinner: ‘I played in Vienna two/three years ago [2019], the match before mine went to a third set and I didn’t get the chance to eat – so I told my coach I need something, he brought me a carrot, I ate the carrot, and that’s how the Carota Boys started’ 🥕pic.twitter.com/qJxvc33TPg

Even tho they made their debut in Rome, The Carota Boys first gained the spotlight after coming to the Roland Garros earlier this year. They have been in the spotlight and gained a lot of media attention after they came to Wimbledon, where people went to them to get pictures clicked. Their reaction to Sinner entering the semi-finals at Wimbledon also went viral recently.
Fans have shared heartwarming reactions to them:

Jannik Sinner makes his debut at Wimbledon semi-final
Sinner overcame Roman Safiullin on Court 1 on Tuesday in a match that lasted two hours and fourteen minutes, 6-4, 3-6, 6-2, 6-2, to reach his first-ever Grand Slam quarterfinal. He thus became the third Italian to play in the semifinals at Wimbledon. Sinner now joins the esteemed company of Nicola Pietrangeli, who achieved this feat back in 1960, and Matteo Berrettini, the finalist for 2021.

The 21-year-old Italian player, who recently entered the ATP’s top 10, is one of the “Next-Gen” players’ most potential competitors, and for good reason. Sinner, who is currently ranked at number 9, has a number of titles to his credit. He became a professional in 2018 and plays the right-handed, two-handed backhand.
He told Eurosports in an interview, how much it means for him to reach the semi-finals. He further added, “We have put a lot of work in and a lot of sacrifices for this moment. It means a lot to me. It is a very nice moment for me. I just try to play my tennis and each match has its own story. I am happy to be in the semi-finals.” Sinner is now preparing to face the second seed at the tournament, Novak Djokovic, in the semi-finals.
