Mesut Ozil is a German professional soccer player who was born in Gelsenkirchen, West Germany, on October 15, 1988. He started his professional soccer career in 2005 with Schalke 04

He then joined Werder Bremen in January 2008 and scored 54 goals for them. He then earned an esteemed move to Spain’s capital, Real Madrid, in 2010 and scored over 81 goals for them. Ozil won one league title, one Copa Del Rey, and one Spanish Super Cup during his time at Real Madrid.

In 2013, Ozil joined the Premier League when he signed for Arsenal. He scored 44 goals for them and has won four FA Cups for them. He also won the English Super Cup twice while at the Emirates.

After moving to the Turkish League, Ozil announced his retirement in March 2023.
