Douglas Luiz, 28, is a defensive midfielder and a regular starter for Aston Villa. He was heavily linked with a move to Arsenal in the summer, but the deal collapsed. Arsenal did not agree with Villa’s $56 million valuation for the Brazilian. Luiz was set to play for Manchester City before his move to Villa, but a work permit issue meant he had to stay loaned at Girona. He then signed for Villa in 2019.
