Portuguese midfielder Otavio has officially joined Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr. The Saudi Pro League side announced the player’s recruitment through their social media accounts. His signing falls in line with the SPL’s objective of acquiring prominent talents from European Soccer.
Al-Nassr have never been shy to spend big and get their transfer targets. And Otavio is certainly no exception. Local reports indicate that the club splashed $65 million in transfer fees for the 28-year-old, making him FC Porto’s record sale. For context, the Portuguese outfit signed Otavio for free back in 2014. The midfielder moves to the Middle East after spending nearly a decade with Porto. During that time, he made 182 appearances and grabbed 12 goals for the club.
