Soccer fans so far have strongly despised the idea of initiating a Super League. And for a certain period of time, it looked like that, fans have won the battle against it. However, a new verdict, approved by the court in favor of the Super League will make the fans angry.
🚨 Exclusive: A22, promoters of the European Super League, have won their appeal in a Madrid court meaning Super League clubs can’t be punished by UEFA or FIFA. This was granted after ESL formed in April 2021, then overturned. Another appeal was made and has gone in A22’s favour.

European Super League first saw light on April 18, 2021. It started with 12 European heavyweights including the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Juventus along others. The initial idea was to start an entirely different league with 20 European big teams and there will be no relegation as well. Real Madrid president Florentino Perez was the biggest motivator of the idea.
The likes of Liverpool’s FSG, United’s Glazers, and Arsenal’s Stan Kroenke immediately bought the idea. The fans went out on road to protest against it vocally. FIFA and UEFA came in support of the fans and threatened to punish the clubs involved in the idea of the Super League and most of the teams pulled out in the first 72 hours. UEFA and FIFA had a massive win, thanks to the support of fans.

ESL looked dead and buried at one point but it has re-emerged again with new enthusiasm. A22, the organization which promotes the Super League to materialize, received a huge boost on January 30. They appealed in a court in Madrid, and the judge ruled the decision in favor of A22. The verdict has declared that neither A22 nor the teams involved in the ESL project will receive any threats or sanctions from UEFA or FIFA.
Fans reacted sarcastically to the latest Super League news
The Madrid Commercial Court pointed out UEFA and FIFAs sanctions as an ‘abuse of power’ and has approved the revamped idea proposed by A22, in favor of ESL. Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Juventus are the only three clubs that haven’t retracted their names from the 12 initial teams.

Juventus has championed the win for A22 and released a statement for the chief of A22, Bernard Reichart. The statement said, “This is a small win for the Super League clubs, but UEFA will fight back, and the protagonists must get more clubs on their side before forming a new competition. If they cannot offer more money than what teams make from UEFA now, the idea will also struggle to survive,” urging other clubs to join the forces.
The most surprising fact has been the fans are majorly indifferent to this fact. The biggest reason behind this is the activity of the English Clubs in the January transfer window. Chelsea FC has spent close to $330 million in just a month. Fans are already seeing the Premier League as the Super League. And for that reason, they were majorly sarcastic when the news broke out on Twitter, rather than angry.
Uefa got spanked again

Still a big no. Uefa nights are a different level of groove, I’m not interested in watching Chelsea vs Bayern every weekend.

The Super League is only wanted by European clubs to steal UK TV rights income

Open your eyes guys, we already have a Super League and its the Premier League – the best and richest league in the world by a country mile. This GMO project that Perez and Laporta want to be a fact will never happen or at least without PL team will be a failed league !

The above reactions tell a lot about the fans’ indifference to the situation. However, the Madrid Commercial court’s decision doesn’t mean that the ESL can go forward and happen. The future of the ESL is dependent on the decision that is to be made by the European Court of Justice in Luxemburg.
