Al-Nassr nutritionist José Blesa talked about Ronaldo’s diet to the Spanish newspaper, Ideal. Blesa revealed: “Cristiano follows the Mediterranean diet, Ronaldo’s breakfast contains a large amount of proteins, such as, cheese and low-fat yogurt. At lunch, Cristiano does not dispense with white meat, and always gives priority to chicken and fish, which is mostly repeated over dinner.”
Blesa revealed about the one meal that is always present on Ronaldo’s table: “There is another meal that is always on Cristiano’s table, which is the dish of tuna, olives and eggs, always accompanied by a good salad, such as tomatoes, and at the time of snacks.”

In this strict diet, there is always room for snacks but for Ronaldo snacks include dried fruits rich in fiber that regulate the absorption of sugar, or avocado rich in vitamins A and C. Blesa added that Ronaldo does not eat any kind of sweets, fried foods or fatty foods, and all his meals are accompanied by water.
Ronaldo’s focus on diet and fitness had a deep impact throughout the club. Since Cristiano Ronaldo arrived at the club, all the players have trained more intensely and followed a stricter diet. In fact, Al-Nassr players now have less fat and more muscles, as revealed by José Blesa.

Ronaldo’s focus on his diet and training is also extended with proper monitoring. Blesa added about the fitness rings. He revealed: “Every conversation with him is a learning. We met and talked about his diet, about how he understands the importance of this and rest for performance. He wears two rest meters: the ring and the bracelet.”
These rest meters help track Ronaldo’s sleep and physical activity. The device measures body temperature, movement, and heart rate. Every minute detail is worked upon to ensure the best results from his diet and training.

Blesa concluded by praising Ronaldo like everyone else: “He is the best footballer in history or one of the two best. I was uncertain, like everyone else, about what it was going to be like to work with him and if the club was going to change a lot, but I haven’t found a more professional footballer than him.”
The impact of a strict diet and fitness routine is evident in the performances of Cristiano Ronaldo. In his second season with Al-Nassr, Ronaldo has 12 goals in 12 matches in all competitions.
