The Kylian Mbappé-Real Madrid transfer saga seems to be back following a short break for a few weeks after the transfer window, as the Spanish giants are finally looking to close this saga by acquiring the services of the Frenchmen in January.
The 3-1 loss against rivals Atletico Madrid seems to have caused them to think that they might need a prolific striker like Mbappe to fill the shoes left by the likes of Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo.
According to the media outlet Defensa Central, signing the 24-year-old striker is Los Blancos’s top priority in the upcoming winter transfer window. The club feels that they can convince the 2018 World Cup winner to sign a pre-contract with them to secure the deal.
Although the last time the Paris Saint-Germain star was in this similar position, he opted to wait. The striker will be a free agent next summer transfer window after expiring his contract with Paris Saint-Germain in June 2024.

However, if PSG reaches the knockout stage of the UEFA Champions League, it’s more than likely that the French striker might delay any decision on his future to avoid creating a distraction at that stage.
It is now to be seen if Real Madrid can finally get their hands on Mbappe and put an end to this saga. Or will it be another turbulent transfer window full of twists and turns for the player again in January?

The club has kept their No. 9 shirt vacant following the departure of Karim Benzema. After they didn’t sign any new striker this summer either, fans have started speculating that this might be a sign of bringing Mbappe to the Santiago Bernabeu. The PSG and France star is set to be out of his contract this summer. So he is free to discuss a possible deal with his new suitors from January 1.
