Manchester United is furious with Cristiano Ronaldo as the Portugal Captain did a tell-all interview with Piers Morgan without the Club’s Knowledge, berating the club and manager Erik Ten Hag, who he believes was trying to force him out of the club.
Why is Manchester United upset with Cristiano Ronaldo?
With Manchester United in a rebuilding phase under the guidance of Ten Hag, Ronaldo saw his minutes being restricted to the Bench and being used as a substitute more often than starting.
This certainly weighed its toll on the 37-year-old as he decided to go against the manager’s wishes and refused to come on as a substitute against Tottenham Hotspur, leaving the pitch early.
Ronaldo was suspended for their next trip to Chelsea and forced to train with under 21’s as Ten Hag wanted Ronaldo to understand that actions have consequences.

After months of turmoil and rumors, Cristiano Ronaldo released a tell-all interview with Piers Morgan where he stated he has no respect for Ten Hag as he shows no respect for him.
He also talked about the appointment of Ralf Rangnick and called it amusing as the Portuguese international was shocked to see a sporting director taking over the role of head coach.
"Since Sir Alex Ferguson left I saw no evolution in the club, the progress was zero."

Ronaldo also bashed the owners for not making necessary changes and upgrades to their training facility at Carrington, stating he hasn’t seen any change in infrastructure since Sir Alex Ferguson’s departure.
The interview was released a few hours after Manchester United won against Fulham in their last match before the World Cup, some say Ronaldo got the interview aired a few hours after the match, so he doesn’t have to face the consequences before the World Cup.
Even the fans seem divided in their opinion as the club’s statement on Cristiano Ronaldo has erupted the football world, as fans react,

After taking his recent actions and behavior into account, Manchester United is considering taking legal action to terminate Ronaldo’s contract effective immediately.
Manchester United will tear up Ronaldo’s contract
After imposing a hefty fine of $1.2 million for the interview, Manchester United is showing no signs of letting Ronaldo continue after making such demeaning allegations as the club is trying to find legal ways to terminate his contract.
Utd have taken the first steps towards kicking Ronaldo out of the club + he will effectively be sacked for breach of contract which will be torn up + Portugal star set to lose £16m in wages + Utd decided there was no way back + team-mates said to be ambivalent towards him #mufc

United has begun the process of terminating Ronaldo’s $600,000 weekly contract without paying a single dollar of the $19 million left on his contract. United believe it will be rewarding disloyalty if they buy out his entire contract and hence choose not to as the lawyers believe they have enough reason to terminate his contract.
✅ #MUFC do not want to pay Cristiano Ronaldo any compensation after tearing up his contract because it would be seen as rewarding disloyalty. [@ChrisWheelerDM] 🇵🇹💰

United felt they had to offer some response to Ronaldo’s claims so they rejected the idea of more disciplinary action. The Glazers, chief executive Richard Arnold, football director John Murtough and Ten Hag held a meeting where they effectively came to the conclusion of sacking him after the World Cup.
With Ronaldo’s sights all set on Portugal and the World Cup, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner has three weeks before he returns to club football while his future at Manchester United is certainly over, it’ll be exciting to see which clubs enter the race to sign the 37-year-old.
