Erling Haaland and his Viking background was one of the prime focus of the new advert for Beats Headphones. The famous audio brand tapped into the connection of Erling Haaland with his father, Alfie Haaland, to focus on the power of family.
In the advert, Erling Haaland listens to a message from his father while wearing the iconic headphones by BEATS. As the inspiring video montage plays on top, Alfie Haaland sends a message to his son: “Son, I still remember the first time you kicked the ball, I know, I was demanding but not more than them. They are relentless, calling you the Terminator, the Viking, building you up, just to break you down.”
As the advert move towards the end, Alfie Haaland concludes by stating: “Only 23 years old, so do it again, score 36 goals again, hit the hat trick again, put Bryne on the map, chant Haaland again, make them fear you, and turn the whole damn city Blue again. You’re just getting started.”
Erling and Alfie Haaland were only one half of the advert, as the duo shared the limelight with the family of LeBron James. Just like Alfie was sending a message to his son, Erling, similarly, Savannah James was sending a message to his husband, LeBron James.

For Erling Haaland, this collaboration comes after a successful run with PRIME hydration, where he collaborated with YouTubers KSI and Logan Paul. However, this advert was the first opportunity for the Manchester City striker to share the limelight with his dad for a brand.
Erling Haaland was shocked by his father’s tackling abilities
Beats presented an opportunity for the father-son duo to come together for the promotion of the brand, however, the duo had previously shared the screen when they sat down for a video for Manchester City. The video was special due to Alfie Haaland’s connection with Manchester City.

In the video, Alfie Haaland revealed he had some intense battle with former opponent Olivier Dacourt as the montage showed a crunching tackle from the former Manchester City player. Seeing the harsh tackle, Erling shocking said: “What are you doing, What are you doing, That’s a red card.”
Alfie reacted to his son’s comments by stating, “It would be a red card now.” As the montage continued to show more crunching tackles from Alfie Haaland, Erling stopped to acknowledge: “When I see these tackles, I think my career would end, if you would tackle me all the time like this.” Luckily for him, times have changed as those crunching tackles are things of the past.
