Problems at Manchester seem to continue on and off the pitch. United were starting to regain their form after a 2-1 win over Chelsea at Old Trafford. But, a recent event involving Luke Shaw has brought the club’s rumored dressing room problems to light again.
Luke Shaw has liked a post made on the social media platform, X by a United fan account, centredevils. The tweet was referring to ex-United player Patrice Evra’s comments, where the French said that it would be difficult for Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial to return to the starting line-up in the future.

Evra’s comments came after United’s win at home against Chelsea. Erik ten Hag dropped both Rashford and Martial to make way for Alejandro Garnacho, Rasmus Hojlund, and Antony. While Rashford was given some playing time in the second half, Martial remained on the batch for the entire game.
Garnacho. Hojlund. Antony.
I’m sorry Rashford, that’s our Front 3 now.

Although, Luke Shaw has come out and denied the allegations. The English left-back has tweeted about the incident and said that the like on the post was not intentional.
The incident has gained traction in England as reports have suggested a rift in the dressing room of The Red Devils. According to reports by Sky Sports, ten Hag has lost half of the dressing room.
Manchester United’s comfortable win over Chelsea
Manchester United registered their 4 wins in the last 5 Premier League games after defeating Chelsea on Matchday 15 of the 2023/24 Premier League season. The precious 3 points strengthened United’s hopes for a top-four finish. United are seventh on the PL table with 27 points to their name.
Scott Mctominay scored his fourth and fifth goals to hand United the win. He is also United’s top scorer across all competitions with 6 goals. Chelsea’s solitary goal was scored by their new signing, Cole Palmer. Earlier, in the game, Bruno Fernandes failed to convert a penalty.
United, however, weren’t very clinical in the box. The Red Devils registered 27 shots, 9 of them being on target but could only manage a win by the margin of one goal.
🔴 Erik ten Hag: “Crisis? Not for us. We keep calm. We know where we have to build, the direction is right”.

Despite this, Erik ten Hag has praised the mentality of his players. Speaking at a press conference after the game, the Dutch tactician said, “Crisis? Not for us. We keep calm. We know where we have to build, the direction is right”. “Dressing room stories? I don’t care about the noise. They are used to it. It was the same at Ajax but in a smaller country so less people”.
The United manager was referring to the players being subjected to criticism on the grounds of disunity. With the manager’s backing and positive football, United can defy all expectations and finish the season on a high note.
