Brazillian superstar Neymar Jr has been plying his trade at Paris Saint Germain since 2017, but that could soon change, as reports have suggested that the forward is exploring a move away from Paris.
The 31-year-old has been central to PSG’s successes for the past 6 years, which include 5 Ligue 1 titles, 3 Coupe de France titles, and a UEFA Champions League runners-up finish.
Reports surrounding his potential departure seem to hinge on the Brazilian’s desire to find a new home.

Neymar initially joined PSG in the summer of 2017 from Barcelona, for a record transfer fee worth $263 million. The skillful forward had made a name for himself at Camp Nou, with many fans and pundits touting the Brazillian to be a future Ballon d’Or winner. The hype around Neymar caused PSG president Naseer Al-Khelaifi to structure a complete project around the player, one that has underwhelmed thus far.
PSG are yet to accomplish their primary objective of winning the Champions League, which has caused a great deal of disillusionment about Neymar’s status at the club. The central focus of the French outfit appears to have shifted towards Kylian Mbappe. And as per the media, Neymar is reportedly up for sale if an acceptable offer does come through.

Reports have also suggested that Lionel Messi‘s departure from the club has furthered Neymar’s intentions of leaving, although the Brazillian is against a move to Saudi Arabia at the moment.
Neymar’s potential suitors if he leaves PSG
Despite the underwhelming nature of his spell in France, Neymar remains a fantastic player who will undoubtedly spark interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs. During the 2022/23 season alone, the Brazil International scored 18 goals and provided 17 assists in 29 games.

The figures are enough to affirm his status as one of the best players in the world. And as such, finding a new club for him should not be a tall order. Neymar has reportedly sounded his preference to move to the Premier League, with Manchester United and Chelsea emerging as frontrunners for his signature. While the validity of these reports remains to be seen, the Brazilian’s departure from PSG looks like a real possibility.
