Cristiano Ronaldo finds himself in grave trouble as he is going through his first big controversial moment in Saudi Arabia. The Portuguese soccer star let his frustrations get the better of him when he made an obscene gesture toward the fans of his opposite team.
Ronaldo, who plays for Al-Nassr, lost a crucial tie against Al-Hilal in the Saudi Pro League. The loss meant that Al-Nassr took a huge hit in their chase for the league title. However, after the loss, Al-Hilal fans were heard chanting “Messi! Messi!” towards Ronaldo. This was too much for him and he ended up making an obscene gesture that he might regret now. He held his crotch area while facing the fans of Al-Hilal.

This is not the first time Ronaldo has made such an obscene gesture and got in trouble for it. While playing for Juventus, he made a similar gesture in reply to Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone’s actions. Both the men were fined over $22,000 for their public indecency.
Saudi Arabian lawyer threatened to get Cristiano Ronaldo arrested and deported
In Saudi Arabia, however, public indecency is treated much more harshly. That is what was indicated by a Saudi Arabian lawyer who said that she would submit a report to the authorities and get Ronaldo arrested.
Saudi Arabian lawyer Nouf bin Ahmed tweeted, “I don’t follow sport. Even if the crowd provoked Ronaldo, he didn’t know how to react. Cristiano’s behavior is a crime. An indecent public act, which is one of the crimes that allows for arrest and deportation if committed by a foreigner. We will present a petition to the Public Ministry regarding the issue.”

Ronaldo has not made any comments regarding the issue, however, he is expected to make a statement as this is a full-blown issue. On the other hand, his club Al-Nassr has already given their verdict on the issue. They have stated that Ronaldo did not make any obscene gestures intentionally. Instead, he was pointing to an injury around his groin. The club stated that fans are open to making their own interpretations.

Nouf bin Ahmed is being very closely followed on Twitter since her announcement about Ronaldo’s lawsuit. A number of her tweets have since gone viral. In one of her tweets, she claimed that the official statement she gave to the Spanish News Agency was cited by more than 160 newspapers and websites around the world.
She has also posted a poem on Twitter in Arabic regarding Ronaldo’s situation. In one of the lines of the poem, she said, “This is (the end) of those who did not acquire good manners…”
However, in one of her latest tweets, it was revealed that Ronaldo has been acquitted regarding the matter for now. She captioned a tweet, “Even if the acquittal was issued based on the medical report. It #Cristiano Ronaldo will remain condemned in the conscience of the nation.”

It is believed that the matter is going to subside for now. Ronaldo might just escape a serious lawsuit that might have landed him in some grave trouble in Saudi Arabia.
