Brazilian soccer legend Ronaldinho has found himself in deep waters once again! Despite retiring more than five years ago, Ronaldinho continues to grab the headlines, albeit for all the wrong reasons. As per the recent reports, the 2002 FIFA World Cup winner stands at the risk of losing some of his properties after he caught the attention of tax inspectors.
According to reports from the Daily Mail, Ronaldinho is set to lose two of his properties in Brazil. The reports state that the tax inspectors in Brazil have failed to find any money in Ronaldinho’s bank accounts. The tax inspectors have ordered a revaluation of the former Brazil star’s assets in Rio De Janiero and Rio Grande do Sul. The revaluation will help the authorities to get back any money owed by Ronaldinho previously.

Moreover, back in 2018. ‘Ronnie’ and his brother Roberto had their luxury cars and artwork seized by the authorities. Ronaldinho’s charity was accused of causing environmental damage by a court in his home state, Rio Grande do Sul, in 2013. After the officials found that the ex-FC Barcelona star had just around $6 in his bank account, three cars and a painting were seized for the payment of the fine.
The soccer fans, however, have been quick to express their disappointment in Ronaldinho following his recent clash with the authorities. Several fans took to social media platforms and shared their reactions and views. One fan even wrote, “He should just pay the tax.” Currently, all the fans would be hoping that the former Brazilian talisman would get out of trouble soon.
Ronaldinho was detained for five months in Paraguay for using fake passports
Meanwhile, Ronaldinho was even put behind bars in 2020 after he was found using an illegal passport. Back in 2019, Ronaldinho’s Brazil and Spanish passports were confiscated due to the aforementioned issues he faced with his charity. However, the former AC Milan star had to travel to Paraguay in 2020 due to a promotional program for underprivileged children.
However, soon after Ronaldinho and his brother arrived in Paraguay, their passports were found to be fake. The 43-year-old soccer star was arrested with his brother. After they paid a $1.5 million bail, the pair were released from jail but were placed under house arrest. They were kept in detention for five months before they were finally allowed to return to Brazil after paying a fine of $200,000.
