The recent natural disaster across Turkey and Syria has taken thousands of lives. The neighboring countries are helping them to rescue the victims. Soccer world and soccer players have also come together to show their support for the earthquake victims. Yesterday, Manchester City striker Erling Haaland also showed his support for the victims of the tragedy.
Haaland is having a record-breaking season for the defending champions of the Premier League. Although City is currently sitting second behind an inspired Arsenal side, their season could be in massive jeopardy due to the latest developments. The FA has charged Manchester City with more than 100 rule breaches from 2009-2018. If proven guilty, the club will face unprecedented consequences.
Erling Haaland however had an unbelievable start to life in England. He joined the Premier League champions from Borussia Dortmund for a reported $63 million in the summer of 2022. Everyone expected Erling to come well, but he has been unreal. Pep Guardiola’s very well-oiled Manchester City has turned him into a monster goalscorer.
🤖 Erling Haaland may be tearing the Premier League apart, dismantling record after record, and scoring 25 goals in 20 matches, but he has shown that he is prone to the occasional stinker.

Haaland is sitting comfortably at the top of the Premier League golden boot chart with 25 goals in just 20 matches. After an electric start, however, currently, Erling is having a few difficulties scoring. Still, almost half of the season is there to be played and undoubtedly, he will break more records for the Manchester-based club.
Erling Haaland and the soccer world devastated by earthquake news
In the previous early morning of Sunday, Turkey was hit by a strong earthquake. At first tremor of 7.8 magnitudes hit the southern part of Turkey. Another tremor of 7.5 magnitudes hit the other part of Turkey and a certain part of Syria as well.
The southern part of Turkey is the most affected part of the country. Turkish team Hatayspor is based in south Turkey. They played a league match against Kasimpasa the night before the disaster. Former Chelsea and Newcastle player Christian Atsu went missing and was reportedly stuck. The 31-year forward scored the team’s winning goal the night before.
Christian Atsu HAS been found ALIVE and has now been rescued from the rubble and transported to hospital after suffering injuries to his right foot & suffering from breathing difficulties.

The soccer world prayed for him and he was found alive a day later under the rubble. Atsu was found with a foot injury and breathing difficulties, and he was rushed to the hospital. Currently, he is in stable condition but it will take him some time to recover. However, Yeni Malatyaspor goalie Ahmet Turkaslan was found with no signs of life under the remains. And the number of deaths at this point is going up massively.
According to the latest news, more than 15,000 deaths have been confirmed across Turkey and Syria. Yesterday, Erling Haaland shared a heartfelt message for the victims of the disaster on his Instagram story. The picture said, “Our hearts are with you,” with a prayer emoji. His clubmate Algerian Riyad Mahrez also showed his support for the victims.
Christian Atsu’s news has been a breath of fresh air for soccer fans and players as well. They are keeping the people of Turkey and Syria in their prayers. We wish to see Turkey and Syria get out of this situation as soon as possible.
