Inter Miami fullback DeAndre Yedlin thinks that Lionel Messi’s English is enough to get by in the United States. During an interview with Felipe Cardenas earlier this week, the former Newcastle United defender also said that the Argentine superstar has been bonding very well with the team. DeAndre shared that the World Cup winner talks to everybody on the team despite the language barrier.
The former Newcastle United player shared an incident about the World Cup winner’s friendly gesture toward his new teammate. Inter Miami forward Leonardo Campana needed tickets for the event on Sunday, but, was unable to get them. The Ecuadorian player shared his distress in the Inter Miami group chat when Lionel Messi made an offer to help Campana by asking how many tickets he needed.

DeAndre revealed, “His English is enough to get by. He talks to everyone. I didn’t know Messi was in the group chat. Campana needed tickets for the event on Sunday. Messi popped in ‘How many do you need?'”
Lionel Messi was recently unveiled as Inter Miami‘s star player. Furthermore, as per reports, Messi is being considered as the new captain of the MLS side. The player is currently training with his new teammates ahead of his possible debut on July 21.
Lionel Messi shared he learned English before joining PSG
The player once revealed his English-speaking skills after he joined his former team PSG. Messi once shared that he understands the English language, but, is not confident enough to speak. In an interview, the player revealed that he had been learning English before he joined PSG.

The player revealed, “I’ve been learning English for a year and a half! I understand it but I don’t speak it.” On the other hand, the World Cup winner’s wife Antonela Roccuzzo is fluent in English. Fans were surprised to see Roccuzzo speaking the language well.
Mackenzie O’Neill, a young soccer player, once shared an incident about Messi with the Argentinian publication Ole. The youngster recalled, “Messi was with his family on the beach. I was on my own and began to kick my ball a few feet from where they were. His dad Jorge threw a ball to me and asked if I wanted to play with them and then we played football with Thiago and Messi for 45 minutes.”

He further shared, “Thiago is a fantastic player for his age and wasn’t shy about playing. Playing with Messi was incredible. He doesn’t speak English, but he waved us over and immediately started laughing. Messi’s wife translated because she speaks very good English.”
O’Neill was asked by the interviewer if he had asked for any advice from the World Cup winner. However, he revealed that Messi did not speak English and therefore was unable to share any advice with him.
