SUMMARY
- Alejandro Grancho is an Argentine who plays for Manchester United.
- Grancho doesn't hide the fact that he is a huge fan or Ronaldo even though he is from Argentina.
Cristiano Ronaldo may not be happy about Alejandro Garnacho’s recent remark regarding his second favorite player, which has caused some controversy. Under Erik ten Hag, Garnacho has been progressively making his way into the Manchester United starting lineup this season, and he has been a major factor in the team’s comeback since early 2024.
Apart from his explosive runs down the wings and precise moves to sidestep opponents, the 19-year-old’s undying respect for Ronaldo is evident. Even though Garnacho is from Argentina, a country where Lionel Messi is treated like a god, he tends to favor Messi’s longtime rival, even going so far as to mimic his goal celebrations while wearing underwear with the CR7 logo.

In a video that has gone viral on social media, Garnacho was questioned about who, aside from Ronaldo, he liked the most. He immediately mentioned Messi, Ronaldo’s biggest rival and compatriot. In an attempt to throw the story into disarray, one fan retorted, saying, “Ronaldo’s not gonna like it.”
The Argentinean player has long expressed his appreciation for the Portuguese sensation, and he models his style of play following the captain of Al-Nassr. The 19-year-old, who spoke with MUTV, complimented the five-time Ballon d’Or winner and declared his steadfast desire to follow in the veteran’s footsteps.
Alejandro Garnacho shares his views on soccer legends Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi
Famous YouTuber and online content creator Darren Watkins Jr., often known by the name IShowSpeed, recently posted a video of Alejandro Garnacho and him having a conversation online. In the video, he talked about a variety of soccer-related subjects while mockingly attempting to mimic Alejandro Garnacho’s incredible bicycle kick goal.
In addition, he asked Garnacho some insightful questions about soccer, their favorite players, their interests, and other topics. The contentious issue he posed to the soccer player and his brother, for which he did not offer a definitive response, was, however, one of the most significant subjects of his livestream.

Yo yo look back in 2008 I met Messi before right I asked him for a picture..he said no I don’t like you but then fast forward to 2022 bro I am just a pure Ronaldo fan.”
In less than a day, this exchange became widely popular on social media and attracted a lot of attention from the soccer community. On the other hand, it remains to be seen how Manchester United’s soccer player Alejandro Garnacho will do throughout the balance of the 2023–24 campaign.
Alejandro Garnacho turns a deaf ear to Angel Di Maria’s advice on Lionel Messi
Alejandro Garnacho, a forward for Manchester United and Di Maria’s teammate from Argentina, was the subject of a recent ESPN FC story. As a fan of Cristiano Ronaldo, Garnacho celebrates every time the player scores a goal with his famous “Siuuu” motion.
Angel Di Maria (Benfica player):
“If I was Garnacho, the only thing I wouldn’t do is celebrate like Cristiano Ronaldo. I would do what Messi does.” pic.twitter.com/6pma4sOGly

On Garnacho’s celebration, Angel Di Maria stated, “If I was Garnacho, the only thing I wouldn’t do is celebrate like Cristiano Ronaldo. I would do what Messi does”. However, Garnacho turned a deaf year to Di Maria’s advice and went on to celebrate like Cristiano Ronaldo once again in his next match.
