However, after his utmost compassion for the club, CR7 cannot seem to forget his former club Real Madrid. And his recent mishap at Al-Nassr’s training ground reaffirms this belief.
Cristiano Ronaldo has flashbacks of Real Madrid during Al-Nassr training
A viral video shows CR7’s team playing rondo at an Al Nassr training session. Cristiano Ronaldo too was part of the game and looked very passionate and was cheering his teammates. But in doing so, Cristiano Ronaldo accidentally uttered the words “Remontada Madrid”, which stands for “comeback,Madrid.” ‘Los Blancos’ often used the word to cheer their team up when the odds are stacked against it.

And in fact, Cristiano Ronaldo himself has been part of many such Real Madrid comebacks in La Liga as well as in the Champions League. One could never forget Real Madrid’s heroic comeback against Atletico Madrid (2013/14 UCL Final) and Wolfsburg in the QFs of the 2015/16 Champions League.
It is quite normal for Cristiano Ronaldo to still be in love with ‘Los Blancos.’ After all, it was at the Spanish capital where the 2016 Euro winner established his legacy as a global star. With Real Madrid, CR7 won 4 UEFA Champions League titles, 2 La Liga titles, 3 FIFA Club World Cup titles, etc. amongst many other accolades. 4 of the Real Madrid all-time top scorer’s 5 Ballon d’Ors came while he was playing for the Spanish giants.
CR7 was on the target as Al-Nassr qualified for AFC Champions League quarterfinals
Al-Nassr beat fellow Saudi team Al-Fahya 2-0 in the second leg thanks to goals from midfielder Otavio and captain Cristiano Ronaldo. As a result, Al-Nassr secured a convincing 3-0 aggregate score and qualified for the next round in the AFC Champions League.
The former Real Madrid player was on the scoresheet in both legs and is propelling his team towards Champions League glory. The 39-year-old is having a splendid 23/24 season with Al-Nassr. In just 28 games, Cristiano Ronaldo has already accumulated a G/A of 38.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s goal in the second leg was a testament to his composure in front of the goalpost. Former Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic released CR7 with a beautiful pass after a series of quick passes. The Portuguese then dinked the ball over the goalkeeper to make it 1-0 on the night. It is truly wonderful to see CR7 apply his trademark finishes even when he is in the twilight of his career.
